My new friend is a bird brain

Hey cat fans, I made a new friend this week, I know I’m a cat, and we like to be left alone.
But she’s cool, and she knows how to party; she’s a real night owl.
She is an owl, Betty Birdberg, so she ups all night and knows what’s going on.
I like her and not just because if I yell “boo!” At her at night, she might drop whatever she’s carrying, and I get to eat it.
She said that I should go on a diet; that way, I’d be light enough for her to pick up and eat the next time I tried that trick.
So, I changed the subject; where did you get that name from?
It wasn’t the name she was born with; she changed it.
In honor of Greta Thunberg, a girl she found out about who’s that very rarest of creatures, a smart human being.
She was flying over Sweden a couple of years ago and saw some Swedish school children had made a giant collage of her face. They were doing it to celebrate international women’s day.
So, she wondered who she was and read everything she got her claws on.
This wasn’t easy because people like Greta tend to recycle and compost their newspapers.
I suspect she maybe into recycling so she can sneakily recycle all her homework from school.
Greta was trying to warn the world that if they don’t reduce their greenhouse gases and lower the world’s temperature by 3 degrees in 5 years, climate change will become irreversible and be over humans.
She certainly seems to be getting very hot already and likes shouting at humans. When I hiss at humans, I get squirted with a water pistol, it’s not fair!
The only thing that may survive is cockroaches and me because I eat cockroaches, but I don’t enjoy them much.
So, I’m using my blog to suggest being smart like Greta and Betty, paying attention to your carbon emissions.
Or I’ll be stuck eating cockroaches and avoiding my new BFF Betty, as I’ll be the only thing she can eat.
